How to Set Up Life Areas Dashboards in Notion

Hey there! So guess what, I’ve become a total organization nerd and I found this cool thing called Notion. It’s like the Swiss army knife for your brain but way more colorful and without the risk of cutting yourself. You can literally set up life dashboards like you’re some kind of productivity wizard. And today, I’m gonna spill the beans on how to do it without turning into a super boring adult.

Step One: Get Your Notion Open

Okay, first things first, you gotta get Notion open. Like, duh. If you don’t have it yet, just google it or whatever. I mean come on, it’s 2023! Download that bad boy. Then create an account if you don’t already have one. No pressure but if you don’t have it by now then you might be living under a rock or something.

Step Two: Make a New Page

So now you’re in Notion, right? Cool! Go to the left side and click “New Page.” This is where the magic happens! Name your page something catchy like “My Life Dashboard of Awesomeness” or “Things I’m Pretending to Do.” Whatever floats your boat! Just make sure it sounds cool because who doesn’t wanna impress their imaginary friends online?

Step Three: Choose Your Life Areas

Now it’s time to think about all those life areas that make you feel like an adult… kinda. Health, finances, hobbies – basically all the stuff that keeps life from being completely chaotic. Write them down somewhere or just shout them at your cat until they look confused.

Step Four: Add Some Cool Blocks

Here comes the fun part: blocks!! No not those blocks you played with as a kid (though that was also fun). In Notion, blocks are pieces of content like text boxes, images, and tables. You can use these to represent each life area! Drag and drop them around like you’re playing Tetris but hopefully not as stressful. Don’t worry if it looks messy; chaos is kinda my aesthetic anyway.

Step Five: Spice It Up

You really want your dashboard to look snazzy so throw in some colors and cute emojis (if you’re into those). Change background colors and font styles uh yeah you’ll get carried away just having too much fun playing with colors! But hey live your best life – eventually it’ll look like a rainbow threw up on your screen but in a good way!

Step Six: Make It Interactive

And guess what? You can actually make these blocks clickable! Like little portals to different pages where you track stuff or plan out epic adventures (or naps). But remember not every block has to be serious; throw in silly memes too cause who doesn’t love a good laugh while trying to adult?

Step Seven: Don’t Take It Too Seriously

Finally, here’s the most important step—chill out! Life dashboards are meant to help you organize stuff but don’t stress if they aren’t perfect. If anything goes wrong just hit refresh like everything on the internet will magically fix itself… right? If not drown your sorrows in snacks because food always makes things better.
